LOST: Something Nice Back Home

WOW! Jack is tough - or at least he tried to be last night. Who wants to be wide awake while having their belly sliced open so a baby doctor can take out your burst appendix? If you’re saying, “Me! Me!” You belong with Hurley in the mental hospital!
The recap is after the jump. If you missed last night’s show, titled “Something Nice Back Home,” click here.
The episode starts with Jack passed out on the island. Bernard is being tough with Faraday (who knew a guy named Bernard could be so, um, intense?). Once Jack comes to, Bernard tells him “These people are lying to us.” Jack says the freighter people will come back to the island for their people and “we’ll be waiting.” Then he passes out again.
FLASH FORWARD… Jack gets a phone call reminding him about an appointment. He gets out of bed, walks down stairs, steps on a toy, reads the newspaper (the headline says “Yankees sweep Red Sox” and Jack says, “A-Rod” - that’s 2006). He goes to the bathroom and there’s a woman in a steamed up shower. It’s Kate. They kiss. Later, Jack reads a book to Aaron. Kate says she’s glad he changed his mind about seeing Aaron. They kiss again.
BACK ON THE ISLAND… Jack insists he’s dehydrated and needs rest. In the jungle, Claire, Aaron, Sawyer and Miles are walking when Miles hears Alex’s voice say “no” and then gunshots. Miles asks, “Who’s Danielle and Karl?” Then, he starts digging and finds their buddies.
SAWYER: How’d you know they were down there? Your buddies do this?
MILES: They’re not my buddies, man. I didn’t sign up for this.
